Postdoctoral Researcher
(salary group 14 TV-L, working time up to 100 %, fixed-term for 4 years)
The mission of GESIS is to provide fundamental, nationally and internationally significant research-based services for the social sciences. The institute's services can be found at https://www.gesis.org/en/services. The Executive Board of GESIS manages the institute and plans its strategic development.
Your tasks will be:
- conceptualizing a joint survey platform building on various survey programmes at GESIS in coordination with the Executive Board and the scientific directors of the GESIS departments
- planning of organisational and substantive features of the new integrated survey and data infrastructure.
- organising and monitoring of the infrastructure’s first round of surveys
- research on survey methodological issues and publication of this work in international journals
Your profile:
- very good doctoral degree in sociology, psychology, or in a related field in the social sciences
- several years of professional experience in the collection of quantitative survey data
- experiences with long-term survey programmes are preferredan advantage
- very good project management and interpersonal skills as well as English and German proficiency
